Every brand has a story — and mine starts with books, decision paralysis, and a love for words that wouldn’t go away.
I’m Susie, the writer behind So She Scripted. Welcome to my blog, where I share writing tips, brand-building insights, and why the right words matter more than you think.
To start off, I’d like to invite you to read along as I share the story behind the brand and how it started.
A Self Introduction
But if there’s one thing I knew I wanted, it was books. Growing up, I always found myself gravitating towards books and imagining myself in the worlds I read about. I guess reading was a form of escape – from thinking, from deciding, from just taking charge of my own life.
I somehow graduated with an IT degree, but it wasn’t until after that I realised my real knack was for writing — words, not code.
I wanted to make something of the first thing I truly loved. As luck would have it, I landed a job as a food and drink writer. From there, I transitioned into technical writing. And eventually, I branched out. I worked freelance for the next 3 years and built a small portfolio of technical blog articles and food reviews.
What Inspired So She Scripted
I was satisfied, for a time, but after my most recent contract ended, I decided I wanted to establish myself further as a writer and build my own writing brand.
I always felt the power of words deeply and through technical writing, I realised I could help others understand complex tech topics more easily. I wanted to use my experience and skills to empower others, whether it was through documentation, brand storytelling, or otherwise.
The Meaning Behind the Brand
The next step was to find a unique name that felt right. I wanted something that started with an ‘S’ (like my name) while embodying the idea of empowerment and intentional writing. ChatGPT assisted with generating name ideas and there were so many iterations. But I loved how So She Scripted sounded – it just fit for the image I was trying to build with this writing brand – feminine, intentional, and scripted with purpose.
I wanted to help people deliver impact through words, empowering them to tell their stories and resonate with their users, as reflected in our brand values:
🎯 Precision – Every word has a purpose.
🗣️ Voice – Helping you find your voice, shape it, and share your story — your way.
💝 Empathy – Crafted with intention, written for your users.

At So She Scripted, we believe intentional writing is the backbone of every strong brand story.
We help you find your voice and craft content with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
Scripted by us, told by you.
Why Words Shape Experience
With books, you have the liberty of using words to paint a picture and literally bring your reader on an elaborate journey. But with documentation and copywriting, you don’t have the same liberties – less is often more and each word has to serve a purpose.
Say you want to install Spotify on your device but you’re unsure where to begin. For a simple straightforward task like installing, you’re not going to look at a 5-page document. Even with copywriting, an advertisement with a short slogan or tagline is going to grab more attention than one with 3 lines of text.
That’s where intentional writing makes a difference — in guiding, engaging, and moving your audience. Whether it’s a sentence or a story, we believe words shape experiences — and we’re here to help you shape yours.
If this resonates with you, stick around for more tips on writing with clarity, branding with intention, and building something that feels truly yours.
